What is implemented

The iPhone app reads supported HealthKit observations after you authorize access. The implementation requests workouts, steps, heart rate, HRV using SDNN, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, active energy, walking/running distance, sleep, oxygen saturation and VO₂ max.

Availability varies by device, recording app and permission. Apple Watch data can reach NutriBuddyAI through Apple Health when it is recorded there; this is not a promise that every watch supplies every field or a separate watch app.

Connect and review

Open the wearable connection controls in the NutriBuddyAI iPhone app, choose Apple Health and review the requested permissions. Allow the data categories you want the app to read, then review the synced observations and workouts in your diary.

Confirm that the expected workout and date are present before adding another entry. Diary food logs supply nutrition context; the wearable does not determine what you ate.

Missing data and privacy controls

A successful authorization flow does not prove that all requested read categories are available. HealthKit protects read-permission privacy, so denied access and absent records can both appear as missing information. Check the Health app’s permissions and recorded data when a metric is unavailable.

The current HealthKit permission configuration requests read access and no write categories. You can change access in Apple Health settings. This page describes the implemented integration; it does not claim Apple certification, continuous real-time sync or medical accuracy.
