Two tennis matches in one day: keep recovery and meals separate
A practical diary example for two tennis sessions, a short turnaround and incomplete wearable summaries.
The scenario: morning singles, afternoon doubles
Keep the sessions separate rather than treating the day as one continuous workout. Their duration, start time and confirmed status matter when reviewing the interval available between them.
Log the meal or snack between matches with the time it was consumed. A daily nutrition total alone cannot explain what was available before the second match. Follow your established plan rather than copying a teammate’s intake.
Check the turnaround, not only the recovery score
A wearable recovery signal is a daily or provider-specific observation, not a measurement of every muscle after each match. Review the first session, available rest time and your own notes alongside it.
If one workout is missing, check the connection and confirm the correct session. Do not add a duplicate just because wearable sync is delayed; verify what the diary already contains.
Review the second match carefully
Use the actual second-session data to assess the day. Different formats and opponents limit performance comparisons; a doubles match is not a controlled repeat of singles.
Note unusual fatigue, limited meal access or a delayed start. Persistent symptoms or individual nutrition decisions need qualified support. The diary is useful for bringing a clearer record to that conversation, not for making a diagnosis.
